Here at Leprosy Mission Australia, we’re big fans of goats. And what better day to give them a proper shout-out than World Goat Day?
We know goats can transform lives—helping people in our Self-Help Groups gain independence and thrive. That’s always worth celebrating.
But let’s be honest: goats are also super cute. And often, downright hilarious.
So, as our tribute to the humble goat—the inspiration behind the term Greatest of All Time and our long-term fave—here are seven of our best snaps from our partners around the world:
7. Kicking off the list is Lanni’s snowy-white goat friend, perfectly posed for this shot—a miracle, considering what the rest of the photos looked like!
6. At number six: this choc-caramel dream goat, snuggled into Mina’s arms like it was born for cuddles.
5. Next up, Maiya’s speckled little sweetheart, with ears dusted in what looks like icing sugar. Cute and camera-ready!
4. But zoom out, and you’ll find Icing Sugar’s cheeky mate—refusing to be outdone and muscling in on the Self-Help Group photo shoot.
3. Coming in strong: Mina again, with her choc-caramel angel now less patient once the rest of the goat gang showed up. Don’t miss old mate Nonchalance in the background, though—cool as ice, casually photobombing like it’s no big deal.
